Weekend with Gigi and Dodi
Jay and I took an impromptu babymoon to California last weekend to watch a few stages of the Tour of California bike race. Gigi and Dodi came down to stay with Isabelle. Since we took our camera with us, I don't have much documentation of the weekend back in NC, but here's one that Gigi sent. They had all kinds of fun playing at the house and at the park, while we had our fun standing in our $5 ponchos in the pouring, freezing rain for hours waiting to see the race go by. But everyone was happy and had a great time!

Next babymoon, let's put Isabelle on a plane to Tampa! She can come to work with me at the "Lawton and Rhea Chiles Center for Healthy Mothers and Babies" and she'll have an instant, doting audience of 20 women with more than 20 PhD's who will collectively coo and sing in toddler garble without any shame . . . they're too busy to have meetings with us but when they so much as hear baby/toddler sounds, they're on you faster than hot flashes!
